God, who is infinitely wise and loving, was not surprised in man’s disobedience. In his patient, world framing love, he decided before man breathed his first breath to be willing to send His son to die that we might have life. Jesus had come into this world, life, die and be raised to life that all things might be made new. God’s redemption is not just a covering for guilt; it is a power for our righteous fulfillment of everything he has called us to. To walk out redemption means to share in the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings and the in the power of His resurrection.
