revival

While revival is not a biblical word, it is a word that speaks to a biblical reality. God gives life and wants to revive where life has been lost. Throughout the ages, the church has experienced seasons, moments and epochs of revival. It has timed looked simple and only discernable to those looking for it. It at times has looked wild and offensive to some not ready for it. The truth is though, God wants to revive and he does that in many different ways. We are believing the church needs the breath of God to become boldly and fully who it has been called to be. Revival may be accompanied by people repenting and turning to God, an increase in healings, miracles, salvations, words from the Lord and other gifts the spirit brings. We are willing to receive whatever God wants to give in whatever way he wants to give it. By the same wisdom we are also willing to reject any falsely propped up imitation of God’s work in people’s lives. Pursuing what is truly authentic is especially important in pursuing God’s desire to bring revival to His saints in the earth.
